By: Russ Zalatimo

However, as the topics presented in podcasts have diversified over the years, more people have warmed up to the concept of listening for an hour to a few engaging voices that can even help them in their everyday lives. For entrepreneurs, there are a variety of podcasts that are hosted by experts in a number of different fields of business offering both hard facts and real life experiences. Schenck features episodes geared toward highlighting adversity and how to defy those odds to achieve next level success. He features a number of interesting guests—from drug kingpin turned mindfulness expert Fleet Maull to Laura Coe who sold her healthcare company in the pursuit of happiness. While there are greats business tips presented in many episodes, this podcast also brings valuable life lessons that can inspire how you continue growing your businesses in both the good times and the bad.

Youpreneur FM

Chris Ducker’s name may sound familiar, as he’s regarded as the “Virtual CEO” for his pioneering of the virtual staffing industry. His podcast, Youpreneur takes his experience in the virtual workforce and applies those practices to educate entrepreneurs who take unorthodox approaches to traditional business. Episodes also show how to sharpen your personal brand, as each is tagged with the word “YOU.” It’s an interesting take on how to move through your own business, considering many entrepreneurs often forget that they are brands within themselves. This podcast is a constant reminder of that, also providing helpful bits on how to move with that in mind.

School of Greatness

Since launching in 2013, School of Greatness has become a mainstay in the podcast world thanks to host Lewis Howes and his variety of guests with significant success stories. Howes has his own stories of adversity that include having a learning disability, being bullied as a kid and a victim of sexual abuse. His own tales of triumph bring this podcast to real life, given his own success in spite of past hurdles. Guests like Alanis Morrissette, Arianna Huffington, Scooter Braun, and even Tony Robbins show that any field has players with stories to share. It’s no wonder why his podcast has remained a top-rated one for the last five years.

Entrepreneurs On Fire

John Lee Dumas hosts this daily podcast, where he expertly interviews guests every day of the week. There are nearly two thousand episodes to choose from, but each one provides an excellent story on the entrepreneurial subject and their trajectory. Even the aforementioned Chris Ducker appeared on an episode (#1949) to share how he launched Youpreneur. While the long list can appear intimidating, the topics in the titles appear before the interview subject, so it’s easy to check in on what interests you, whether it be the lesson or the entrepreneur telling it.
